3 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
-
½ tsp black pepper
-
½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
-
1 tsp sesame oil (for extra flavor)

1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional, for umami)

Instructions:

Heat olive oil or butter in a large skillet or wok over medium heat.
-
Add the garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
-
Add the sliced mushrooms and cook for about 5-7 minutes until they release their moisture and become tender.
-
Stir in the broccoli florets and cook for another 5 minutes, adding a tablespoon of water if needed to help steam the broccoli.
-
Add the soy sauce (or tamari), black pepper, red pepper flakes (if using), and sesame oil. Stir well to combine.
-
If desired, add the oyster sauce for added umami flavor and mix everything together.
-
Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until everything is well coated and heated through.
