For the Salmon:

4 salmon fillets

Salt & black pepper to taste

1 tbsp olive oil
For the Teriyaki Sauce:

¼ cup soy sauce

2 tbsp honey or brown sugar
Instructions:

Prepare the Teriyaki Sauce:

In a small saucepan, combine ¼ cup soy sauce and 2 tablespoons of honey (or brown sugar).

Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sauce begins to simmer and thicken slightly (about 5 minutes).

Remove from heat and set aside.

Cook the Salmon:

Season the salmon fillets with salt and black pepper on both sides.

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the salmon fillets to the skillet, skin-side down if applicable, and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until the salmon is cooked through and has a golden-brown crust.

Glaze the Salmon:

During the last minute of cooking, pour the prepared teriyaki sauce over the salmon fillets.

Let the sauce bubble and thicken slightly, coating the salmon evenly.
