Whether for a special occasion or just a fancy weeknight treat, Garlic Butter Lobster & Scallops will leave you feeling like you're dining at a five-star restaurant.

Ingredients:

For the Lobster:

  • 2 lobster tails

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Scallops:

  • 8 large scallops, cleaned and patted dry

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Directions:

1.  Prepare the Lobster Tails:

-  Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

-  Using kitchen shears or a sharp knife, carefully cut along the top of each lobster tail shell to expose the meat. Gently pull the meat out, leaving it attached at the base, and rest it on top of the shell.

-  In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

-  Place the lobster tails in a baking dish and brush them generously with the garlic butter mixture. Reserve some of the butter sauce for serving.

-  Bake the lobster tails in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the lobster meat is opaque and cooked through.

2.  Cook the Scallops:

-  While the lobster is baking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

-  Season the scallops with salt and pepper on both sides. When the oil is hot and shimmering, carefully add the scallops to the pan.

-  Sear the scallops for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Do not overcrowd the pan to ensure a perfect sear.

-  Once cooked, remove the scallops from the skillet and set them aside.

3.  Combine and Serve:

-  Once the lobster tails are done, remove them from the oven and brush them with the reserved garlic butter sauce.

-  Plate the lobster tails alongside the perfectly seared scallops.

-  Drizzle any remaining garlic butter sauce over the top of the lobster and scallops.

-  Garnish with freshly chopped parsley for a burst of color and freshness.

4.  Enjoy Your Seafood Feast:

-  Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side. Pair with a crisp white wine, like Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc, for a truly indulgent meal.

Cooking Tips:

  • For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the garlic butter sauce for a little heat.

  • If you want a richer finish, consider adding a splash of heavy cream to the garlic butter sauce for a creamy consistency.

  • Be sure to pat the scallops dry before searing them. Excess moisture can prevent them from browning properly.
