
Cheesy Ham Puff Pastry Stacks

1 sheet puff pastry (store-bought or homemade), thawed

4–6 slices of ham

4–6 slices of cheddar or American cheese

1 egg (for egg wash)

Chopped chives (for garnish)

Butter or cooking spray (optional)
Instructions:

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.

Prepare the pastry:

Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.

Cut out round discs using a cookie cutter or a glass (about 3-4 inches in diameter). You’ll need an even number of discs (e.g., 12 discs for 6 sandwiches).

Assemble the stacks:

Place half of the pastry discs on the baking sheet.

Top each with a slice of ham and a slice of cheese (trim to fit).

Cover with another pastry disc and press the edges gently to seal.

Brush with egg wash:

Beat the egg and brush the tops of the pastries. This gives them a golden, glossy finish.

Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown.
